a newborn pullback {from baby carson}

Remember this image that I posted a little while back? I just remembered I took pull back shots to share too! This was done with natural light-all natural light…

Yes those are lenses holding my paper and yes that is paper that looks like wood. The light was coming from directly behind where I would be standing through a double sliding glass door so I had to watch my shadow and it was a dreary day so I had to shoot wide open with a higher f/ to pull this off…

    Thank you for this :)
    I’m wanting to start doing newborn shots, and getting ready to invest in a 50 mm macro lens as “instructed” by another photog friend. I need any help I can get. I will be tinkering around with this… a few friends who are expecting have agreed to let me do shoots for them. Any suggestions?ReplyCancel

      Check out my other pullbacks and you will see some more advice…warm room, well fed baby, the younger the better, natural light is best, etc.ReplyCancel

    New question- where can I find just a plain white background like you have here for my “studio”? Also, in PS can’t you “insert” a different background ilo the white?

      It is either seamless white or seamless bone from savage papers from B & H-but wait til they offer free shipping ;-) And, on inserting a different background, make sure your white is lit as evenly as possible and if you have good enough Photoshop skills I bet ;-)ReplyCancel
