see I told you…already a post! {Fun with Christmas Lights} (before you put them away)…

So we got ready to take down our Christmas tree and lights the other night…

Speaking of which, my husband got to see just how OCD I am as he walked outside into freezing degree weather (yes even at the beach it was well below 32) to see me taking down our outdoor lights. We had taken down the tree so all the storage containers were down from the attic and I wanted them all back up-THAT NIGHT! Such chaos Christmas brings to this house sometimes. Anyway he did pitch in and assist, begrudgingly so, and hopefully our neighbors weren’t watching because #1 we look like crazies taking down our lights at 1 am and #2 I was in pj’s and my husband’s new steel toed Georgia boots I gave him for Christmas (keep in mind I am a size 6 1/2 and he is a 13 so they looked like Bozo the Clown shoes on me!

But before we did I wanted to experiment a little…I have always wondered how to do this and thought it would be something complicated but I found THIS tutorial and got my Cricut out (had to be perfect), some tape, scissors, a pen, my iPad, and my camera with my 85 1.2 on and went to town. Here were my materials:

And here are some of the fun results! These are SOOC (straight out of camera [no editing])

Hearts for Olivia…

Baby rattles for Presley Grace…

And trains for Greyson (his newest obsession)…

Oh and looky what I found in the tree as we were taking it down..I guess that’s why some of my ornaments fell-because a large rubber tiger was quite obviously hurled into it causing it to hang in the balance until I freed it from its fraiser-scented prison jungle…
