A few months back, when this idea was brewing I remember chatting with the kids nonchalantly about their rooms. Presley was die hard that she loved the pink and the mural (thank goodness because mama loves it too!). So when we got ready to do this room makeover I wanted to make sure I gave her something that changed the entire room even though we weren’t painting the walls. I went with a gold ceiling and we replaced her fan with a drum chandelier (plus her room is so small that a regular fan would almost hitting her in the head). We put an old armoire that I had previously refinished in a champagne color back in her room for storage (I added some pink accents on the filigree at the top to match it up to the room) and we found a sturdy wood, but ugly loft bed on Craigslist which we finished with a mixture of paint (Silver Plated from Ralph Lauren Metallic Collection + some gold I found in the garage lol with pink from her room wall color in the pulls of the drawers). Her room is actually classified as an office because it has no closet so before these Before pictures were taken we had already started doing things…We put up those corner bars to make her a closet (thats why the furniture is pulled out). I replaced the black out curtains you see here with the white ones on top and then added some new pink ones as well. I added some gold to her mural to tie that in as well. Her room didn’t require much but since it was so cramped and this was a surprise we couldn’t move everything out-working around all that was a pain! When you see Greyson’s room you will see her Restoration Hardware furniture because we felt it went with his room design and we wanted to use as much stuff as we could that we already had. Artwork, gold reindeer and misc from Hobby Lobby & plush nailhead bench from Home Goods.
